A Sweet Valdres Keepsake Box

105.00

Everyone needs a place for their keepsakes…their wishes, their secrets, their dreams. This little box is the perfect place to keep any or all of those things and more.Join Kim for a class painting a small box in the Valdres style of rosemaling. It would make a great gift for Mother’s Day, graduation or a birthday, (or to keep for yourself).

Kim will be painting in oils but acrylic painters are welcome of course.

Here’s what you’ll need:

A small box: The project measures 6” wide x 4” deep x 3” high.Something like a recipe box would work. You can choose any style you wish, or you may already have something just waiting to be painted. The pattern can be altered as needed.

Background colors:I used Americana Dioxazine Purple and Warm White.Of course, if purple is not your first choice you can use any colors you like. You may want to use a more traditional color palette. The actual design uses primarily traditional Valdres colors.
