Swedish Tuppamålning a Panel

$65.00

Join Patti as we paint a burlap panel, or an object of your choosing. Tuppamålning means rooster painting and is a type of traditional Swedish everyday painting. These paintings, usually done by women, we done on fabric or paper, whatever they could find. There are not many examples left as the men bond painters would take the fabric the women painted on and washed them off or painted over them. These paintings are called tuppamålninger because each painting had a rooster, some which were quite funky and fun.
