CLASS ON DEMAND: Split Box with Telemark Flowers

Come and paint a special box for keeping your treasures! This box has a split top in which each sides swings to open. We will be painting the top and sides of this box with two borders to finish the piece. The box is about 9 inches long. What makes flowers Telemark flowers? They are fanciful! You can be as creative as you want with them. You will get a pattern, but you are encouraged to make them your own.
SUPPLIES:
The boxes are a special order and can be purchased from Nordic Canvas by following this link. You do not need to have the box to participate in the class. As always, you can paint on an object of your choice. All the boxes are now gone and no longer available on our website.
Brushes: a brush of your choice for backgrounding, 2 #2/0 BlickMaster Golden Talon Liner, (you do not need to 2/0 brushes, but it makes it easier when painting the piece),#6 filbert or flat, #6 flat if you wish to also use a filbert, #2 flat
Paints: Background: JoSonja Red Earth (acrylic) and Burnt Sienna (any acrylic brand)
Rosemaling: (OILS) Burnt Umber, Prussian Blue, Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Transparent Oxide Red, Titanium White, Yellow Ochre
This class will be taught using oils for the rosemaling, but acrylic painters are welcome!
A short video will be sent to class registrants on how to prepare the box. Patti will share a couple of tricks with you.
