The palette is simple. We only use three brushes. Patti will be demonstrating in oils, but acrylic painters are welcome to take the class!
This style of rosemaling is one that is no longer being painted in Norway. It is up to us to keep it alive until the tide changes in Norway. Come and be part of the legacy to keep this style from being lost to time.

PROJECT: I painted on a 12” scoop plate. The design measures 11.25” so anything you have to accommodate the size will work.
BACKGROUND COLOR: Jo Sonja Red Earth
PAINTING COLORS: (choose either oils or acrylics)
Oil:Mars Black, Raw Umber, Titanium White, Yellow Ochre
Acrylic: Carbon Black, Raw Umber, Titanium White, Yellow Ochre (a better choice than Yellow Oxide, but Yellow Oxide can be used)
BRUSHES:
#2 flat or filbert, #2 round, #1 or #2 liner
OTHER SUPPLIES:
Kneaded rubber eraser
Painting Medium
Palette
Palette knife
Paper towels
Any other supplies you like to use
A Little Additional Information
All Classes are recorded so if you can’t attend all or part of the class in person you will have access to the recording.
