ARTIST TALK with Kerstin Neumüller
Kerstin Neumüller is a well renowned Swedish craftswoman living in Sörmland, Sweden. During this online talk she will present her work as a self sustaining crafter, author and teacher focusing on her work with rigid heddles and band weaving. During the talk she will show us her process on making rigid heddles, how to weave patterned repp bands and how to create more advanced patterns using the pick-up technique. Subjects like the historical use and context of rigid heddles and handwoven bands will be covered, as well as modern applications to this traditional craft.
